P A C E
At the heart of our approach to educational care is PACE, a therapeutic parenting model developed by psychologist Dr Dan Huges. An attachment focused approach, the model allows professionals to work cohesively in order to effectively understand and support young individuals to build and develop positive relationships. The key to creating safe and trusted therapeutic environments that allow children and young adults to thrive and achieve social, emotional and academic success.
Playfulness.
The ability to interact with light-hearted interest creates an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment for each individual.
Acceptance.
At the core of a sense of safety is the security in knowing that each individual’s uniqueness and intentions can be accepted without a sense of judgement. However, this does not imply accepting behaviour that maybe hurtful or harmful to another person or self.
Curiosity.

By being curious about their inner self, individuals can reflect upon the reasons for given behaviours and communicate to those around them effectively.
Empathy.
Allowing each individual within our care to actively witness that their inner life is import to those around them establishes and underlines the belief that they can be helped overcoming challenging times.
