HR Advisor
Company: Hartmore Genesis CTE Ltd, Staunton, Gloucestershire.
Salary: £32,500–£36,000 FTE
(Pro Rata, based on 37.5 hours per week – actual
salary dependent on agreed hours and experience).
Job Type: Permanent, 25-30 hours per week (5-6 hours per day).
Staff Size: 167 employees
About Us
Hartmore Genesis CTE Ltd is a compassionate care provider situated in Gloucestershire, dedicated to supporting young individuals aged 8 to 18 who have experienced trauma. In addition to our residential care services, we operate three schools offering Special Educational Needs (SEN) education. Our mission is to empower young people to lead fulfilling lives, and we are seeking an HR Adviser to join our growing team.
Role Overview
As an HR Adviser, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic HR support across the organisation. Collaborating closely with managers and staff, you will ensure the effective implementation of HR policies and practices that align with our values and legal obligations.
Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations: Provide guidance on disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes, ensuring fair and consistent application.

Policy Development: Assist in the creation and review of HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment law and best practices.

Recruitment & Onboarding: Support the recruitment process, from job postings to candidate selection and induction, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.

Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate development initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance.

HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, process contractual changes, and support payroll updates.

Wellbeing & Support: Promote employee wellbeing initiatives and provide support to staff on HR-related matters.

Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to employment legislation and assist with preparing HR reports for senior management.
What We're Looking For

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a generalist HR role, with experience in employee relations and policy development.

Qualifications: CIPD Level 3 or equivalentis desirable.

Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.

Our Recruitment Process
Step One.
Apply for your chosen role. If successful you will be contacted to complete a face-to-face interview at our head office with relevant managers.
Step Two.
If successful you will receive an offer subject to receipt of safe recruitment documents and relevant references, at which point a contract will be issued.
Step Three.
A start stae is provided to commence a six-month probationary period which includes an indepth induction process covering relevant trainign and safeguarding.
Step Four.
After three-months a review is completed with a relevant manager, allowing for a review in training and ongoing progress.
Step Five.
Probationary period is reviewed, providing the opportunity for employees to enrol into further training and qualifications.
