
About the Role
This is a senior role for an experienced care professional who is ready to step up and lead. You will guide and inspire a team of care workers, model best practice in therapeutic care, and continue building genuine, trusting relationships with the young people in your home. Many of our Senior Care Workers progress to become Registered Managers, this role is a genuine stepping stone for the right person.
What You Will Be Doing
• Leading shifts and supporting junior care workers day to day
• Modelling our PACE therapeutic approach across the whole team
• Acting as a key worker for specific young people and driving their care planning
• Contributing to reviews, reports, and quality assurance
• Supporting the Registered Manager in compliance and day-to-day home management
• Mentoring newer staff members and supporting their professional development
• Deputising for the Registered Manager when required
What We Are Looking For
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or actively working towards it
• Proven experience in a residential care or equivalent therapeutic setting
• Leadership qualities — calm, consistent, and able to inspire and motivate others
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic practice
• Ability to remain composed and professional under pressure
• A genuine passion for making a difference to young people's lives
