
About the Role
A vital and valued role providing overnight support and a safe, consistent presence for our young people. Night workers are a crucial part of our therapeutic team — calm, dependable, and there when it matters most. This role suits people who prefer overnight working and want a position with genuine meaning. Part time hours are available making this a great fit for those balancing other daytime commitments.
What You Will Be Doing
• Providing a safe, settled, and therapeutic overnight environment for our young people
• Carrying out regular welfare checks and responding calmly to any needs during the night
• Completing accurate handover notes and records for the day shift team
• Supporting young people who may be unsettled, anxious, or struggling overnight
• Working closely with the day shift team to ensure seamless continuity of care
• Responding appropriately to any incidents and following home procedures
What We Are Looking For
• Reliability and calm under pressure — absolutely essential for night work • Genuine empathy and patience with young people • Previous care, overnight, or support work experience is helpful but not essential
• Ability to work independently and use good professional judgement
• Commitment to the hours you agree to — our young people need consistency overnight
