Hartmore Ltd, our educational providers, Genesis CTE Ltd, our English based residential homes and St Davids ASC (Marlowe) Limited, our Welsh based residential homes.
Finance Assistant
Company: Hartmore Genesis CTE Ltd, Staunton, Gloucestershire.
Salary: £28,000 FTE Pro Rata to £16,800 (3-5 days a week).
£1000 bonus on completion of contract.
Job Type: Maternity cover. 22.5 hours per week (3-5 days a week).
About Us
Hartmore Genesis CTE Ltd is a compassionate care provider situated in Gloucestershire, dedicated to supporting young individuals aged 8 to 18 who have experienced trauma. In addition to our residential care services, we operate three schools offering Special Educational Needs (SEN) education. Our mission is to empower young people to lead fulfilling lives, and we are seeking an HR Adviser to join our growing team.
Role Overview
As a finance assistant you will be supporting three complex businesses working as part of a small head office function based in Staunton, Gloucestershire. This position is a temporary contract starting August to cover a period of maternity.
Key Responsibilities

Raising monthly and termly sales invoices.

Credit control to local authorities.

Liaising with others internally to resolve invoicing or credit control issues.

Bank postings of receipts and payments.

Bank Reconciliations.

Processing of purchase ledger invoices.

Supplier statement reconciliations.

Supplier payment runs (two per month).

Coding and posting of Barclaycard transactions and petty cash.

Accounting for vat where they are supported by receipts.

Ad hoc accounting and admin support as required.
What We're Looking For

Minimum three years experience in similar accounting role.

Experience in VAT accounting.

SAGE 50 accounts knowledge (multi-company experience advantageous).

A hands-on approach with a positive attitude who is able to take responsibility for completion of tasks.

The role requires someone who has good accuracy and attention to detail.

Our Recruitment Process
Step One.
Apply for your chosen role. If successful you will be contacted to complete a face-to-face interview at our head office with relevant managers.
Step Two.
If successful you will receive an offer subject to receipt of safe recruitment documents and relevant references, at which point a contract will be issued.
Step Three.
A start date is provided to commence a six-month probationary period which includes an in depth induction process covering relevant training and safeguarding.
Step Four.
After three-months a review is completed with a relevant manager, allowing for a review in training and ongoing progress.
Step Five.
Probationary period is reviewed, providing the opportunity for employees to enrol into further training and qualifications.
